C-260 Cutter
The New Tyrannosaurus/T-Rex Cutter
The T-Rex cutters were designed to cut
heavier reinforcing on newer cars. The T-Rex cutter can easily cut
through side impact beams and the "A" posts of the newer roll cage vehicle
frame systems. The T-Rex cutter boast the highest power-to-weight
ration of any cutter, of its type, in the market. All T-Rex
cutters are NFPA 1936 compliant.
Extreme Power
Designed to have an extremely high amount of cutting force, the T-Rex
allows the rescuer to cut through objects that are untouchable by most
cutters using 110,000 lbs. of force.

Extreme Opening
Available in opening up to 10 inches, the T-Rex allows most "B" and "C"
posts to be removed with a single cut. The longer blades allow the
tools to cut with less interference from the body of the cutter and make
deeper relief cuts.
Two Blade Design
There are two blade designs available for the T-Rex Cutter. The
wide-opening C-260 cutter is ideal for cutting wide posts and making deep
relief cuts. The C-160 cutter has curved blades that wrap around
door hinges and steering columns and pull toward the base of the blades,
making cutting easier for less experienced personnel.

C-160 Cutter Rotating and Removable Handle
The T-Rex cutters come with an adjustable and removable "D" shaped handle.
This handle can be rotated 360o or completely removed for
use in confined spaces. Being able to rotate the handle allows the
cutter to be easily using in any position. Professional Note:
Most experienced personnel keep the handle slightly loose. They
routinely adjust the handle position throughout a rescue.
Push Button Control
One of the most beneficial features of the T-Rex Cutter is the push
button control. The control is a variable speed device allowing the
cutter to be "feathered." This controls the speed of the cutter when
opening and closing. The control is fitted with a guard to protect
the rescuer's hands from obstructions and offers protection to the
connecting hoses of the tool.
Over-Pressurization Relief Valve
If the couplers have not been properly engaged or there is a blockage
in the return line, preventing the fluid flow back to the unit, a relief
in the control handle automatically releases fluid. This causes a
low pressure fluid leak from the hole between the hoses. The power
unit is switched to the neutral position and the couplings can be
connected or the blockage removed. Ordinary tools that do not have
this device can literally explode.
